Why did you want to have the surgery?

I felt I looked older than I was. My jowls bothered me most, but also my neck. I felt like this for about 4 years.

Why did you choose to go overseas rather than have the surgery at home? What appealed to you about a cosmetic surgery holiday?

I consulted surgeons at home, but the price was astronomical. Also I hoped to have a holiday at the same time so Gorgeous Getaways company seemed ideal. I had previously travelled to the far east but had yet to visit Malaysia so price and location were perfect.

I decided on Gorgeous Getaways as I could have a vacation at the same time.

What were your impressions and feelings after you arrived in Malaysia and what did you think of the surgeon, hospital and GG team?

Yes I was extremley nervous because on the internet I had read bad as well as good stories about overseas surgery. I told my family I was going on holiday but not for surgery.

My surgeon Dr Jalil and the Gorgeous Getaways ladies who looked after me were excellent as was the hospital and staff.

How do you feel after surgery?

I was picked up at my hotel by Gorgeous Getaways which in itself was great and very reassuring. I was admitted very quickly - even the office staff were brilliant - the nurses , porters, cooks etc were just perfect.

I did feel sore after surgery this lasted for about one week to ten days but I was given medication to eliminate this.

How was the recovery for you?

Unfortunately I slipped while out shopping and broke my shoulder and had to have another operation, but again your staff got me X-Rayed and admitted to hospital within a day and operated on. I must emphasise my fall was just an unfortunate accident that could happen to anyone but the Gorgeous Getaways staff were so professional - it was just so reassuring.

I recommend if you're going to have an accident make sure your with someone from Gorgeous Getaways! They even arranged my flights home. I was really upset that because of the accident I couldn't go on some of the excursions or have the treatments that the other ladies did.

Were you pleased with your results? How do you feel now and what have people commented on?

Yes I was really pleased. Lots of people have commented how I look ten years younger which is exactly what I wanted. Now I don't put my head down when younger girls pass by.

My advice to anyone considering this is... hurry up!

The service I received was fantastic - from the moment I stepped of the plane in Kuala Lumpur to the moment I returned - my every whim was catered for.

2 years ago in July 2002 I had 2 major brain surgeries so I had a little more fear than the average lady of surgery so if I can do it and be so positive about it after the event surely you would agree with me when I tell you I know I made the perfect choice in chosing Gorgeous Getaways.
