Pam tells her story:
I always had a small chest, giving me
a girlish figure. I don't like wearing padded bras, it
feels like "false advertising" to me. I just
want to fill out my clothes and feel a bit sexier. Since
I was a teenager, I have wanted to change. I was always
very self conscious about my lack of assets. It's only
been over the last few years that I have really strongly
considered surgery, mainly because of not being able to
afford it before.
I chose to go overseas for my surgery
not only because of the great savings money wise, but
because of the experiences acquaintances have had both
at home and overseas. Those who went overseas, returned
much more positive, happier, and comfortable with their
whole experience compared to those that stayed home to
for surgery... and experienced complications and added
expense due to Australia's way of "in & out quick
procedures" ....leaving them feeling more like a
number rather than an individual.
I chose Gorgeous Getaways because of the
good reports I had heard about them. I found them to be
very professional, helpful, responsive, thoughtful, caring,
informative; not pushy at all...but best of all, completely
honest.
Me, the famous celebrity
I was rather nervous upon arriving at
Colombo Airport, but received a warm response from Lennie
which had me at ease straight away. I had told all close
family and friends about my surgery holiday. All were
very encouraging and supportive of my decision. Lennie
was fantastic; she kept in touch with my hubby back home,
keeping him up to date with my progress.
The hospital and staff were simply amazing.
It was very clean and modern...I felt it put a lot of
Australia's hospitals to shame. All support staff, at
the hospital and Gorgeous Getaways staff was so attentive
all the time. I never felt alone. I actually felt like
a famous celebrity the whole time, and I loved it.
To aid my recovery, I made sure I was
good & healthy before I left home; I also took Arnica
tablets to assist in y recovery. If I could change one
thing I would have taken my hubby with me to share the
experience with me....plus I missed him heaps.
Total and amazing support
I was a little nervous so Lennie organized
some sedatives with the hospital staff to keep me 100%
relaxed going into surgery. They worked wonders. I had
numerous tests well before surgery so the doctors could
assess me and best undertake my surgery. I was impressed
with how organized the hospital staff and doctors were,
communication was fantastic. Everything just went so smoothly,
it was all over before I knew it. I had pain medication
for the three days I was in hospital, and given oral pain
killers for use while recovering at the hotel. My doctors
visited me at the hotel for the next few days, making
sure all was going as well as they expected/wanted. I
was surprised as I thought I would've been in a lot more
pain then I was. Actually, it was more just a little uncomfortable
rather than painful. I'd do it all again without hesitation.
While at the hospital and at the hotel,
Gorgeous Getaways staff were such an amazing support,
especially emotionally....boosting my confidence as I
was adjusting to the new me.
My enjoyable vacation
I was out of the hospital in a couple
of days and a week and a half recovering before I caught
my flight back home to Australia. I found I just kept
improving daily, getting stronger and stronger. I also
had a little bit of dental work, composite fillings in
the gaps in my smile....WOW!!!! What a difference it has
made, and so inexpensive too. For the first time, I like
to show off my teeth when I smile. I also did a bit of
shopping; everything is so cheap in Sri Lanka. I really
enjoyed it, though I'm not usually a huge fan of shopping
even at home. I had a sensational massage, but would recommend
having more than just one or two. I will, next time.
A group of us went to an elephant orphanage,
which I enjoyed...only problem, it was such a long drive.
I would recommend only doing activities not too far from
the hotel, otherwise you lose your whole day to one exhausting
trip. As much as I enjoyed my time and all the fabulous
people I meet, I couldn't wait to go home and see my husband,
and show off my new assets.
Looks great, feels fantastic
I'm very happy with the results. My breasts
not only look great, they feel fantastic too. My hubby
loves them too, saying that he's shocked that they still
feel the same, only bigger. Looking so much better in
my tops and dresses, I haven't had to buy a new wardrobe;
I just finally fit into my clothes that just hung on me
before. My experience hasn't changed my life; it’s
simply complemented it and just added a bit more icing
to the cake. I'm still the same person, it's given me
a little boost to my confidence, and I'm happier about
my appearance. In the next twelve months or so, I may
return to get bigger implants, as I wouldn't mind going
a bit bigger...but if I never got it done, it really wouldn't
matter, because I love what I now have.
A refreshing change
I have already been recommending holiday
surgery with Gorgeous Getaways to friends and family.
I simply could not fault anything regarding Gorgeous Getaways,
their staff, the Apollo hospital, its staff and the doctors.
It was a thoroughly well organized and
professional experience. These are the main benefits along
with the honesty. It’s refreshing to be told the
blunt truth, rather than what others think I want to hear...all
sugar coated. Thank you for such a positive experience,
Pam.
