Yearning a makeover

I first considered plastic surgery after the birth of my last child in 1998. I was unhappy with the look of my post baby body and started looking into surgery procedures that I could have to improve my look, I am not overweight but looking a little worse for wear. So, after years of wearing padded pushup bras to even my breasts out and baggy pants to cover my lumps - I found Gorgeous Getaways. Actually, my husband found an article online and called me to look.

I had tried a few different doctors here, even tried a few unorthodox methods to remove cellulite. I could not afford surgery in Australia but I could afford it with Gorgeous Getaways. And my husband and I would travel together and have the first serious holiday together that we had taken.

My husband also had an ulterior motive, he had gone over to help with the tsunami a few years earlier and he wanted to go back and see the country again.

I made my decision with my husband backing me the whole way. He knew I had been getting serious from the way I constantly looked at myself in the mirror,and after a very long discussion one day I decided to go for it.

I could go away and have my surgery, recover a little and get on my feet again before coming back home to my children.


Smooth and simple - from arrival to surgery

Gorgeous Getaways made the planning stages almost too simple; they did
everything for me, and it just seemed so smooth.

I got a little anxious right before departure but my excitement outweighed it.
My children knew I was having surgery and my mother and sisters too. My sister had had a breast aug 6 months earlier in Australia and was full of good advice although had spent more than I was about to.

I was a little lost on my arrival, big city with lot of traffic and it was so exciting. Everyone was supportive and happy. I had two days before my surgery and we got out and about and had a look and a shop.

I never really relaxed right up to the surgery as I was nervous and excited, but everyone did all they could do either keep my mind busy and make me laugh, Stephanie was my GG consultant and she was wonderful to me and my husband. I left the day after the surgery back to the hotel where the nurse came each day to check on me and help me wash. Hafsah was a godsend.


Confident and happy

After a few days, I was up and about. It felt good to move and helped my sleep better as well. I got out of the room and to the shops on day 5. I walked a lot and sat in the sauna each day to aid my healing. I was in a bit of pain but it was only what was expected and Stephanie kept in touch on my progress. After one week I had lunch with all the other GG patients who were in town and we had a wonderful lunch sharing stories.

I was already starting to feel happy with the changes in my body.

I am so much happier with how I look now, my breasts are great and my lower body more streamlined. I am just simply more confident and happy. I try more clothes on, and buy rather than put them back. And that is how I measure it.

Gorgeous Getaways took away any doubts I may have had before about surgery and also about travelling to do it. The service was spectacular and the girls are delightful, really keenly interested in helping you and keeping you in good spirits. I just don't think I would have gotten the service back home what I received from GG. I would recommend them without hesitation.
