Getting a replacement abroad
I had already had a breast augmentation in Melbourne, but it was expensive and as I was at home I was really tempted to go back to work sooner and the surgeon said he couldn't give me the implants I wanted as I had NO spare skin and would need two operations to get to the implant size I wanted.

I had looked into getting the surgery overseas before my first operation but had been really nervous about having my first major surgery AND my first overseas holiday at the same time. My husband and I talked about me wanting to get my breasts redone and I wanted rhinoplasty as well but we couldn't afford it in Australia.

I talked to my best friend about it and she had been looking at Gorgeous Getaways to get her breasts done as it was cheaper and she also was having trouble being able to afford it in Australia. We both decided that if the 4 of us went together both husbands could look after us and we could also make sure we recovered together. After being busy with Christmas and not getting a holiday, we both deserved some time off, even if it was to just float in a pool.

I had always wanted rhinoplasty when I was a teenager but as there wasn't anything 'wrong' with my nose, I put it off. When I never got the breasts I was sure women were meant to have, I made the decision that they were more troubling to my self esteem as womens' clothes aren't made for girls with a flat chest, especially not the girlie clothes I like wearing.

After my friend and I had talked about it a little, we both decided it was the right thing for us to do. We could change our minds at the last minute if we ever felt uncomfortable about our decision and if we ended up deciding against it, it would still be a wonderful relaxing holiday.

As it got closer to the date of our departure, I still had not really told anyone I was going to have surgery; a few friends, but not really many people. All my friends knew I had already had surgery before. I just didn't want people gossiping about me while I was away and assumed that once I was back they could see for themselves that I wasn't going to come out looking like a 'freak'.

I had Dr Nasir, and he is a wonderful surgeon. I had gone in with a photo of what I wanted for my second breast augmentation and explained exactly what I had wanted. The implant size we decided on was what I had expected as I had done some research as to the sizes and what I thought I would need. It was a really big-sized implant but I knew I would be getting a large size.

My rhinoplasty was really straightforward as there wasn't anything 'wrong' with my nose, it was a small dorsal hump that would be easy to file down. So I wasn't too worried about that.

Specially ordered implants

The hospital was awesome. It looked really nice and not at all like a hospital. I was in a really nice room but after I got comfortable, Dr Nasir came and told me that we had to delay my surgery as the implants I needed were too big and they had to be special ordered. It was Chinese New Year when I was in KL, so Dr Nasir was going on holidays but there was time when he came back to fit me in. So we rescheduled my surgery date and I spent a week shopping.

When it got to my new surgery date, I was a little nervous that there would be a problem with my implants, but as I got there, everything was ok. The size we had decided on had arrived, so everything would go as planned. They rolled my bed out and my husband walked along with us until I was put on the surgical bed.

I woke up around lunchtime and was taken back to my room, where I went back to sleep and woke up a few hours later. As my friend had her surgery the week before, everyone came in to see me and make sure I was ok. At the next lunch, I was discharged and taken back to the hotel.

What's better than shopping?

I went into surgery on Saturday and was back at the hotel on Sunday. On Monday, I was out and shopping. It was ok for me to be in the large shopping centers. I made sure I took my medication in my handbag with me so I could take the panadol with lunch to keep the pain to a minimum.

Tuesday I was a little sore from a full day of shopping but I had a lot of cute clothes so I didn't mind. I spent a lot of time sleeping over the next few days as the first few days are the ones you have to make sure you look after yourself.

One of the highlights of the trip was the Zoo. it was a bit further out of the city, but it was a cheap taxi after the train. There are people selling small green bananas that you can feed to the elephants and giraffes. We went a few days after my friend's surgery and she found it hurt to stretch and feed the animals so I recommend doing it before or a few more days after when you are more able to move, but it was so much fun.

Dr Fish were pretty cool as well, but the spa in Mid Valley shopping center had the best one. They had two different kinds of fish, and all the others only had one sort. I was sad when it was time to go home as I still had things I wanted to do. I'd suggest going for longer than they recommen, so you have more time to sightsee.

Loving my new look

As my surgery was pushed back a week, I'm still recovering more than I would normally. But I know what to expect as I HAD been through the surgery before. No one noticed that I had the surgery. The rhinoplasty is perfect! It took the slight bump away but no one really noticed that I've had it done as it's not obvious which was exactly what I had wanted.

As I had previously had a breast augmentation, people don't notice the difference until I'm in bikinis and they can see how much bigger and more natural my breasts are sitting already!

I'm so glad I had gone with Gorgeous Getaways to get both my surgeries as I'm much happier about how I look now. I'm not looking in the mirror and saying to myself "if only that bit wasn't there" or thinking "if my nose just looked like that." I'm looking in the mirror and thinking that I'm so happy about how my face looks. It's still too early to go underwear shopping for my new breasts but I'm very excited about going when I can.

I'm cleaning out all my old clothes and going to the pool and seeing my husband look at me and be proud of the woman he's married. I feel more attractive. My boobs look more real and my face is cuter so my confidence has skyrocketed. I can't wait till I can show off!

A few tips

My advice would be to know exactly what you want before you go for the consultation. Look at the websites and try to find a photo of the breasts you want. I did a lot of research and it made the consultation a lot easier and I got exactly what I wanted. I got a photo and a rough guess at the implant size I would need.

I need wisdom teeth taken out and my husband has some dental work that needs doing so I'll be going back with Gorgeous Getaways to get all that done and try fit in all the parts of Malaysia that I missed this time. It was so much fun and everyone was so nice I can't wait to go back and see everyone again.
