Now or never

I have not liked my breasts for some years after having my last child. I finally decided to stop been bothered about what I didn't like about my body and pay for the body I wanted, one that exercise and diet could not fix. I was very happy spiritually and mentally, so surgery to enhance my body was a no brainer !!

I traveled by myself, determined to experience what ever came my way only as a exciting opportunity! Having a holiday as well as a life altering surgery at the same time was very appealing to me. Leaving 3 teenagers, and a husband behind to fend for themselves was liberating.

I had seen Gorgeous Getaways on tv 2 years ago. The reason I choose them was the fact they had done all the homework for the patients, also the fact that they were a Western company controlling the wheel, so to speak. It was knowing that there was reputation on the line that gave me confidence that they were thorough with the selection of surgeons.

Seemingly effortless

It all happened very quickly. I arrived Sunday night, had consultation with Dr Tan Monday, admitted to hospital Monday night, had my surgery on Tuesday, back at hotel Thursday night. I found Dr Tan to be understanding and personable (or maybe because I did not mix my words, and made sure we were on the same page) all went plain sailing.

During my stay at the hospital, I had to use a lot of body language and a little self help to get what I needed. But all in all this was a small time in the trip to be upset about.

I went expecting a lot of pain, but was surprised that I felt only discomfort. Liposuction, and breasts were amazingly fine, my neck lift was the the most uncomfortable. I treated myself to full body massages 10 days after surgery, this really broke up fatty deposits that were having to absorb into the body for maximum results. Was out shopping 5 days after surgery and meeting up with other GG clients at lunch to share our stories. I never once felt alone, or deserted even though I was on my own. There were other GG patients coming and going all the time.

Got my sexiness back

I feel more sexy!! I am getting comments like, "Have you lost weight? You look younger." This cosmetic makeover was the icing on the cake for how I already felt on the inside.

When you have your consultation, be realistic on the longer expectations when asking what can be done. Talk with the surgeon until both have decided what surgery needs to be done to get the result you what. What procedure we think we need to create the look we want could be in fact entirely different to what the surgeon sees. Make a very clear picture for him and you! The team on the ground at GG were absolutely lovely. A genuinely and heartfelt team that made every effort to help your trip run smooth.
